CEO and Program Director Jo Patterson offers a wide range of Social and Emotional Learning activities and curricula that engage children in developing strong emotional coping skills, making healthy decisions, and developing a positive worldview. We encourage children to explore and manage their emotions, set achievable goals, and create the best possible future for themselves.
Our mission at Epic Domain is to teach children essential leadership skills such as delegation, patience, communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, and accountability. We consider their emotional health and social factors and empower them with holistic coping tools that they can use throughout their lives to become better for themselves and the world around them.

Jo Patterson, Executive Director of Epic Domain, leads a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) enrichment program catering to children, teens, and adults. As a conference host, speaker, and creative instructor, Jo emphasizes the exploration of each child's unique gifts to unlock their full potential. Epic Domain is committed to culturally responsive practices, fostering equitable environments, and building holistic support systems for children, families, and communities.
Driven by a life's goal to empower children and teens, Jo integrates art instruction with evidence-based SEL and 21st-century life skills. The program's approach focuses on improving behavior, attitudes, and academic performance. Epic Domain is gaining recognition for its group mentoring and private tutoring services, available both virtually and in person.
In addition to her role at Epic Domain, Jo Patterson has contributed to educational initiatives since 2019, working as an Independent Contractor for organizations such as Outschool.com, Big Thought, Thriving Minds OST, and Dallas City of Learning. Her experience includes providing creative programming for Young Women's Leadership Academy, Bands of Hope, and hosting a teen summer camp at The Epic Recreation Center in Grand Prairie, TX.
Most recently, she had served as SPARK's Program and Events Scheduler at SPARK! Dallas, a children's museum and art immersive event center. In this role from June 2022 to July 2023, she revitalized children's programming, managed creative activities, and handled scheduling for field trips, birthday parties, community events, and private functions.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Our goal is to provide children and teens with the opportunity to volunteer for community service, such as helping out at local food pantries, children's homes, or environmental initiatives to keep the community clean. Additionally, they could lend a helping hand to children with special needs or participate in a senior citizens' retirement community by offering assistance in some way to encourage the elderly.
As they gain the ability to lead themselves and others towards a goal, they will also develop the skills to assess their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and professional objectives, and ultimately have the confidence and self-esteem to pursue and achieve their goals.

Secondary school students want to be independent and establish their identity. Epic Domain supports them in discovering their potential teaching students the importance of self and social awareness, responsible decision making, and relationship skills.
Our enrichment program will help them make important decisions, set achievable goals, improve academic performance, and provide a supportive environment.
Epic Domain will introduce new ideas and opportunities and help prepare students for college or training. Teens will also learn valuable life skills such as goal setting, and time and money management.
