Paving The Way To A Brighter Future

Children have so much to offer to the world and we believe in the power and potential they hold. We know that children, with our investment in them, can help to positively change our world for generations to come!
Through Epic Domain, Jo Patterson is able to give your child the support he/she needs in order to shape them into leaders of the future. It's important to help your child to learn to recognize their own values, abilities, emotions and to influence their behavior through self-awareness by incorporating Art Therapy and Social and Emotional Learning techniques and competencies.
Increasing empathy, courage, self-confidence and self-esteem in our children is vital in today's society. We need to "raise" responsible (future) adults - not children.
As a Teaching Artist with a vast array of Social and Emotional Learning activities and curriculum, Jo Patterson is excited to engage your child in developing strong emotional coping skills, the ability to make healthy, well thought-out decisions, while developing a healthy world view beyond themselves.
The goal of Epic Domain is to contribute to the growth mindset of your child, to give them strategies through exciting hands on curriculum and art projects. We encourage children to explore and manage their emotions and set achievable, positive goals to help them create the best possible future for themselves.
Developing strong leadership skills like delegation, patience, communication, conflict resolution, teamwork and accountability are all techniques or tools we want teach your child.
Taking into account their mental health and social factors, our desire is to empower our youth and equip them with essential information and holistic coping tools they will carry throughout their lives to become better for themselves and for the world around them!
This is YOUR domain - Epic Domain™
IT'S YOUR FUTURE - OWN IT!

Epic Domain, LLC is a SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) enrichment program, focusing on programming for children and teens. Evidenced-based SEL programs work, with research proving an increase in academic success, improvement in classroom behavior issues and a strong return on the school's investment in such programs.
Jo Patterson believes in the power and potential all children hold! She desires to give your child the support they need in order to help shape them into the best, most authentic version of themselves they can be through educational workshops and programming pertaining to Social Emotional Learning as Teaching Artist using Art Therapy and SEL Instruction.
Since January 2019, Jo Patterson has hosted Epic Domain™ at The Epic Recreation Center in Grand Prairie, TX. After working with the 6 to 12 year old children, she has now been asked to oversee Teens 13 to 17 in Teen Summer Camp for the months of June and July. Your child /teen has a wealth of activities to join in, from yoga to basketball, cycling to fitness training...and everything in between!
The Teen Summer Camp by Epic Domain™ will have a concentration in "college ready" exercises and preparation, applying for scholarships, creating an individualized portfolio to help them prioritize their scholarship pursuits and timelines for both SAT and ACT testing. Students will learn the importance of maintaining great grades, which eventually develops into a great college transcript, as well as time management and learning to be responsible.
Our college campus tours will help give exposure to the teens and encourage them to explore all the opportunities higher education can afford them, as well as the very real possibility that they too can apply to and attend college and even earn scholarships that will help them to obtain their education - debt free!
Of course they'll have some fun at the Epic Swim Water Park, Forum Roller Skating in-house movies in the Epic Theater and more!

COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
In the near future, we would also like to offer the children/teens the opportunity to perform community service type volunteer work like helping in area food pantries, children’s homes and environmental initiatives to help keep the community clean or lending a helping hand to children with special needs or a senior citizens retirement community where children can help in some way to encourage the elderly.
As they gain the ability to lead themselves and others on a course of action, they also gain the ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and vocational goals, and have the self-confidence and self-esteem to pursue and achieve their goals.
